The Xbox 360 Revolution: The Real Deal?

Although there are other video game consoles such as the Playstation and Wii that are available for purchase, the Xbox 360 has truly always been one of the most popular.  Each person loves it for their own different reason but there are certainly a troop of loyal fans and followers.  Some people have said that the Xbox 360 has caused a revolution in the gaming world, while others think this is nothing less than hilarious.  There are a lot of people who have their doubts on whether or not the system is all that it has been made out to be.

For one thing there is always such a limited quantity of the Xbox 360 system.  Head to any video game store and chances are they will tell you that the system is on backorder and probably has been for months.  You may have to wait several months just to get an answer on pre-order lists so hopefully you don’t’ mind waiting.  The low-end system retails at just under $300 and then you still need games and accessories to have the best gaming experience.

There are some games that you will literally not even be able to play until you buy the proper accessories.  Then there is the issue that there seems to be the same characters and basic premise to most of the new games.  In fact, at least twenty games for the Xbox 360 are almost identical to those for its predecessor the Nintendo 64.   There is really nothing special about the Xbox 360 that sets it apart from other similar systems on the market today.

While it is a fantastic video game system that you can enjoy playing, there is truly nothing that makes it anything more special than any other systems on the market today.  A lot of people complain that there are not enough new games being released either and that this is a huge factor showing that this game is no revolution.  On average the same number of games are released for the Xbox each year as are for the Playstation and Wii.  While all of these different problems and issues may make a difference for some, to others who are avid fans of the Xbox 360 it will not really matter.

The point is that there is nothing exceptional about the system that makes it that much better than any gaming system.  Perhaps in a few years it will be more advanced and have more drastic changes that truly make it so.  Just make sure that you consider all the facts before deciding on any video game system.  This way you can find one that you are going to enjoy playing and which you feel your money was well spent on.
